There are a variety of ways you can book me for your event. Below is a guideline and some ideas. I am open to discussion and negotiation, but let’s not be silly.
Nursing/Retirement facilities – You folks have been my bread and butter for years. I change the set up monthly so we can put together a schedule for the year. That helps us both. Standard set is 45 minutes of a mix of solo piano and singing and accompanying myself. I cater the song selections to things that are likely to spark memories for the folks who are IN your facilities. Which means some crooners, older Broadway and some older classic film scores. I do a fair amount of what could be considered easy listening too (think John Denver, James Taylor, Beatles). Standard fee for the 45 minute show and some visiting time while I do set up and tear down is $150.
Dinner Music – If you’re having an art showing, fundraiser, wedding or other swanky gathering, live piano adds an extra touch of class. I will happily set up and play while your guests visit, toast and raise money for your non-profit. Standard fee is $150/hour for these events. I do ask the opportunity to have a tip jar and cards out for these events. If there are special requests (say something specific when the main speaker is introduced), we can talk about that. I will likely be able to grab what you’re looking for, but this must be arranged ahead of time, not the night of your event!
Major Life Events – Think weddings and funerals. As a professional musician and a pastor, I can cover these from edge to edge. I can help with planning music for both, offer suggestions and help locate songs that are special. Standard honorariums for these are typically handled through the church or the funeral home, but weddings are typically around $200 and funerals around $100, depending on the complexity. (For weddings, the price goes up if I am working with other musicians as well or if there is a ton of music involved. Both are awesome, but it does mean more work and extra rehearsals.)
Church Events – I can come do a full hour+ long concert including a meet and greet after with a product table and such. I can also perform as a feature for other events, women’s dinners, coffee house, education celebrations, Homecoming celebrations, or community dinners. If you would like, since I am a pastor too, we can talk about me being a presenter as well around a theme. For these events, we like to take up a love offering with the expectation of a minimum of $200. The speaker fee is negotiated separately.
